Evanescence/Hailstorm/LilithCzar at the DCU 1/20/22

It was nice to get back to live music again, after the long break, and the postponement of this concert from Dec. We had a positive experience, Entry to the DCU went smooth, the vax card check, ticket check, and metal detector all went smooth, the staff seemed to be well trained and entry/seating was running smooth. We sat in section 234, which wasn't too crowded, making us feel a little safer with covid still in the area. We also appreciated the multiple emails from Ticket master advising use of the covid protocols and to bring proof of vax, or a neg test within 72 hours. All 3 performers put on an excellent show, sad to head that Hailstorms bus had caught fire than morning, but nice to know that they weren't in the bus, and lost minimal "Stuff". Where we were sitting, the music was drowning out the vocals for all 3 performers, it was hard to understand the words being spoken / sang. I'm not sure if it was the angle to the speakers where we were, the music just being too loud, or the mics not being turned up enough. The show would of been much better if that was working correctly. We could see more shows at the DCU, and would also see each of these performers live again in the future. One nice side note, prior to the concert we'd listened to the Mistress Carrie Pod casts with all 3 artists. It was a nice touch to hear their interviews, and live experiences, She does great interviews, and we miss the fall of WAAF in Boston, May rock live on forever.....
